It is hoped the move will allow doctors to help patients with more serious medical conditions.Instead patients with a raft of ailments – including sore throats, coughs, diarrhoea, headaches and sprains – are being urged to seek advice from a pharmacy where they do not need an appointment and can buy over-the-counter remedies.But health campaigners say patients who currently qualify for free prescriptions will be hit in the pocket.
