Hospitals in Lanarkshire, Scotland, are continuing to recover following an outbreak involving a new variant of Bitpaymer ransomware. “We quickly identified the source of the malware and investigations are ongoing as to how this was able to infiltrate our network,” says Calum Campbell, chief executive of the board that oversees NHS Lanarkshire.
