Beats Medical is an app designed specifically for those with Parkinsons and provides allied health therapy exercises; physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy.It has been given the seal of approval from Parkinsons UK, a charity which drives for better care, treatments and quality of life for those living with the condition.The charity has added Beats Medical to its apps library, which was made publicly available in October 2018.Beats Medical founder, Ciara Clancy, said: Were delighted to be recognised by Parkinsons UK and their panel of experts for the quality of care we provide to patients.We are dedicated to improving the independence and quality of life of people with Parkinsons around the globe and continue to strive to do more for the people that we treat now and in the future.The library was set up by the charity organisation along with Our Mobile Health, which is responsible for sourcing and independently reviewing the potential apps and devices to help sift through digital tools that can be trusted and used by those living with Parkinsons.An independent panel of expert reviewers looks at apps across a range of areas including patient safety, data security and indicators of effectiveness.All the tools featured in the library are designed to help people with Parkinsons with everyday life, from walking and exercising to communicating and sleeping.
