Cardiac arrests are like uninvited guests – they come as they please with little to no warning, which is why we must keep ourselves well prepared at all times.

AEDs (automatic external defibrillators) are lifesaving devices that can be used in the advent of a cardiac arrest. AEDs can save the life of a person experiencing a sudden cardiac arrest regardless of how far away they are from a hospital. It does this by delivering an electrical shock to the heart tissue, taking over the duty of the heart’s natural pacemaker cells. There is the necessity to have AEDs installed in campus, and hence the need to install the AED wall bracket to keep the device readily accessible and out of casual reach of children.
• Airport: Another place where people can be found densely packed together; all airports should be equipped with multiple AED wall brackets. Such sites are frequented by people of all ages, including those who are more likely to experience a cardiac attack, like senior citizens and overweight individuals.
• Offices: Sudden cardiac arrest strikes around 10,000 people at work, accounting for 15% of workplace fatalities, indicated by a report from the US Occupational Health and Safety Administration. Large and small corporations alike cannot afford to compromise on employee healthcare; every commercial building should have an AED wall bracket installed in an accessible location.
